Game testers are hired by development studios to play through unfinished versions of their game, looking specifically for any bugs or glitches and then reporting back their findings. Contrary to popular belief, they are not tasked with ‘reviewing’ the playability of the game but acting instead as quality assurance (QA) testers.

Gaming Skills - If you are a Good Gamer or have exposure to various types of games. This sets you up for two critical skills already - game design and the thinking required to be a game programmer . Alternatively, Gaming is a very creative profession and having/developing good set of Creative Skills , Good Learning Skills, Exposure to variety of Patterns and Practises, Exposure to a wide variety of tools and techniques and a whole lot of reading :-) is required. While we can help you with all of that, The only thing that you need most is a passion for Games (2d, Retro, 3d FPS, TPS, Casual, Simulation etc )
